New posts

The new post indication seems a little fucked up. When I log in and see new posts in multiple threads, if I view one of those threads, the new post indicator will be gone for all threads. Also, it's flagging stuff I've posted as new posts. I've already read the stuff I've posted!

Hmm. The new posts thing in phpBB is crap. I found a MOD that's supposed to make it actually work right, which I may try. Still... it usually doesn't completely fall apart. Is it worse than normal then?

Well, it used to flag new posts of mine if I posted say from home and then went to work and checked from there. It always did that. Now though it seems to highlight them if I just close the browser and reopen it.

The problem of it losing all the new post flags after viewing one new post is new though. It's kind of annoying since I don't always remember what threads/forums were highlighted. Like I had to specifically check this post to know that you had replied to it. Just a minor annoyance.
