Default IPCOP ISO FILE HELP

now this is going to sound stupid but maybe somebody knows what is going on.

1. i download ipcop 1.4.5 full iso from ipcop. i burnt the iso so there are lots of files on the disc. put it in a box running smoothwall restarted the machine and it skipped straight past the disc boot up even though bios is set to cd first.

2. i used iso buster on the iso on my comp and saw that the bootableimg.img was about 2k and had no "emulation"

3. i looked at my smoothy iso which i new was good and the same file was about 2.81mb and it said the "file was to specification".(this iso works and boots fine)

4. i looked at another smoothy iso with fixes 1-6 and it said the same as the ipcop iso... i burnt it and the same thing happened as the ipcop one just skipped past the startup stage...

am i doing something wrong. i am just downloading as normal using nero to burn ....

Hi familia, welcome to the forums.

I don't use Nero so I'm not sure if I'll be a lot of help. Are there any fields you haven't checked for burning a bootable? I notice on this link you have the option of specifying emulation.

I use burnatonce even though I have most of the "real" ones. It's free, really fast, and very lightweight. Might not hurt to give it a try and use the raw driver just to see if it's Nero thing or a thing with the ISO.

Good luck.

I'm planning on checking out the new version of IPCop and I have Nero so I'll let you know how it goes. I'll have to give burnatonce a try.

It's sweet as hell. Unless you want like... features or something.

I use it all the time though.

I just downloaded the 1.4.5 ISO and burned it with Nero, no problems, boots fine. I just opened the ISO from within Nero, hit Burn, boom, done. I don't know, maybe you should re-download the ISO.

I checked out burnatonce. Pretty sweet little prog. Nice for quick ISO burns. Less clicks.
