Controversial, meaning that science conflicts with religious beliefs. How anyone could think we should ignore a couple thousand years of research and expirementation with the input of thousands of individuals, just so they don't have to change their minds, is beyond me. Read the Bible and learn what you can from it, but don't forsake all other knowledge. The writers of the Bible are just as capable of making mistakes as any other human. If what you believe is true, other sources of information will support it. There is truth in the Bible, but it has been distorted and buried in lies over time. Too many people get caught up in all the bullshit and never get to the truth.
