Warcraft 3 disconnect issue?
Hi all!
I’m glad to see FTF back and doing well!
I know this is kind of old school stuff here but hey so am I… what can I say I like RTS games…
Here is my situation, I have a LAN with 6 pc’s 2 are wireless. We only use W3 on 2 of them they are cabled. Every thing was working fine we could connect to LAN or bnet games together but not host on bnet, So I have port forwarded 1 of the several WC3 ports to each of our pc’s on my router and set the appropriate port in the W3 options and we can now both host on bnet individually and at the same time but not in the same game. If either of us tries to join a game the other has made (LAN or bnet) the joiner gets immediately disconnected.
I don’t see how the port forwarding could affect local lan play? But I swear that is the only thing that has changed…
The 2 pc’s are both in good working order and are above the sys req’s, its part of my son’s chores to do basic maintenance and scans on the pc’s in the house. And I follow up on it to see if it’s done right. They are Win XP, 1 GB Ram, excessive amounts of disk space and both over 1 GHz Intel cpu’s.
We do not have this issue with Starcraft, Armada2 or any other network RTS games we play.
I’ve checked all over the net and have found folks with a similar issue but no solutions…
Any suggestions would be helpful
Thanks in advance!
