I refused to play single player on anything but the highest difficulty setting and I can't get even half way through the game.

I gotta disagree there, the plot was terrible, it was kind of like gilligans island meets magnum PI, with a dash of Dr. moreau. blech. Fortunately the action stands on its own, some cool scripted sequences. And I love driving those boats around. So fun.

I was talking to a friend about farcry, and realized the same thing. The plot is as formulaic as you can get. Rescue girl, Kill evil scientist, save the day! (yawn)

Then again, sometimes not having a plot to worry about makes for a better fragfest.
